The alder made body of the PHENIX is carved in several areas, which makes a particularly light guitar.
Its electronics is made of four single coil pickups : neck Alnico 2, middle Alnico 5, bridge 1 neodynium, bridge 2 ceramic. A switch dedicated to the bridge pickups makes it possible to use one or the other micro, or to use both at the same time. This particular setting enables the PHENIX to have vintage sound when using one of the two bridge pickups, and modern sound when combining the two pickups single coil to make a humbucker.
